The Traffic Management App is a cloud-based traffic management system to plan, co-ordinate and publicise temporary traffic regulation orders and other road network disruptions.

Paul Traynor, Strategic Commissioning Manager for Highways, Cheshire East Council, commented

"We are thrilled to receive national recognition for the Traffic Management App in collaboration with Elgin. Keeping stakeholders informed of activities on Cheshire East's busy network is an essential but complex task. The App has enabled better communication with the public so that our residents and businesses have accurate and up to date information on roadwork activities across the Borough."

The Highways Magazine Excellence Awards Judges’ further reflected that the TM app:

“Enables teams to create road closures and diversionary routes in a matter of minutes using one seamless process.”

The success of the Traffic Management App in Cheshire East is entirely replicable across all Highway Authorities. roadworks.org and Traffic Management App now provide unified coverage of potential disruptions to traffic arising from roadworks, traffic management and other incidents.
